Center Aide and Center Substitute

Under the supervision of the Bethel Learning Center Director performs assigned duties realting to the implementation of Child Care Services.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist staff with both long and short range activites in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
  • Maintain daily open communication with parents
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Report any suspect abuse to supervisor
  • Arrange a classroom enviornment in accordance to program goals and philosophy
  • Maintain a safe and healthy enviornment
  • Inspect and replace damaged or lost materials
  • Attend in-service and staff meetings
  • Keep all appropriate records such as records, attendance and time sheets.
  • Meet all applicable licensing regulations

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Attend and participate in all in-service and staff meetings
  • Observe established administrative procedures.
  • Provide written reports and maintain statistics as required.
  • Participate in evaluation activities of program participants
  • Keep all appropriate records such as records, attendance and timesheets.
  • Meet all applicable licensing regulations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from high school, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Early Childhood Education
  • Experiance Working in a child care setting preferred
  • Must be computer literate and have experiance iwth Microsoft Office 2000.
  • Commitment to Bethel Ministirs' philosophy and mission statement
  • Access to currently registered car and a valid driver's license.
  • Bi-lingual prefered but not required.

Special Requirements:

Must be able to perform physical activites such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs. unassited). bending, standing, climbing or walking. Must pass fingerprint clearance test for all appropriate agencies.
