The Greater Millville Ministerial Association will be holding their 5th Annual Martin Luther King Service on Monday, January 17th, 2011. The event this year will be a recognition luncheon at 12Noon instead of the traditional evening service. The event will take place at Bethel AME Church located at 113 South 5th Street in Millville.
The theme of this year is “Honoring the Dreamers” and will recognize members of the community who have continued to give back to the residents of Millville. Some of those being honored are: Kim Ayres – Millville City Planner; Ms. Jean Lewis; Ms. Hannah Wesley; Keith Walters – SHINE Program; Judy Kessler – Center City Neighborhood Group; Sam Herdman – Help & Hope Ministries Food Closet and Don Fauerbach – NJ Motorsports Park. The key note speaker will be Dr. Thomas Isekenegbe, President of Cumberland County College with participation from members of the Ministerial. Lunch will be immediately following the service for a nominal cost of $5.00 per person.
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, He who rules and reigns in us all. May the sweet peace of He whom loves unconditionaly continue to carry and keep each of you.
As the summer winds down, we prepare for school days and fall let us not grow weary in doing well, for if we faint not....I pray each of you have had a blessed and restful summer. As the Bethel family you have shown yourselves to be faithfull in every way. You have, and continue to be a blesing to the entire first family, as your pastor for eleven years, I continue to feel honored and humbled to be able to serve in this vineyard.
"Let me hasten to thank you again for your kindness and generosity in the celebration of my Anniversary, you continue to keep me amazed."
As I complete my travel and some rest for this season I must publicly thank Rev. Darlene for her steadiness and dedication to this pastor and congregation.
Now let us set our mind to the work that lies ahead, we are growing in every area of our ministry. The Bethel Development Corp. has entered into several new partnerships that will help us all as we continue to try and carry out the Ministry of help throughout this community; your prayers and support are always appreciated. The church will soon see some changes in our worship format, that I am certain wil bless each and everyone of you. I am excited and look forward to this NEW SEASON OF SERVANT MINISTRY!
CONTINUE AS GOOD STEWARDS OVER ALL THAT THE FATHER HAS GIVEN TO US, REMEMBER, THE WORK IS ALL DIVINE!
